发明名称 FLEXIBLE SHAFT AND ULTRASONIC PROBE FORMED BY USING THIS FLEXIBLE SHAFT
摘要 PURPOSE:To maintain the resilience required for the front end of a torque transmission shaft and the hardness in the middle part satisfying rectilinearity required for the middle part by forming the torque transmitting means and sheathing means by spiral winding of wires, such as metallic wires,and forming at least them means so as to have prescribed spacings at the inter-winding spacings of the wires. CONSTITUTION:The spiral windings tightly wound to a cylindrical shape are used for the torque transmission shaft 7 as the torque transmitting means. As a result, the shaft is provided with a flexible characteristics and is freely curvable. The circumference thereof is covered and wound with spiral wire tubes 11 as the sheating means so as to have some spacings. This shaft is provided with the parts coarsened in the inter-winding spacings at the prescribed width in the part of the prescribed distance from the front end of the insertion part of the ultrasonic probe and the other parts are constructed as densely wound parts. The resilience of the insertion part of the ultrasonic probe is enhanced by coarsening the inter-winding spacings and the rectilinearity of the middle part of the ultrasonic probe is enhanced by making these spacings dense.
