PURPOSE:To easily and efficiently generate a proper shading master picture regardless of the experience of an operator by designating a standard area and a correction area in an input picture. CONSTITUTION:In input picture data written in a picture memory 7, a picture element A, for example, is the picture element without being affected by shading and has a density value 70 to be reference and a picture element group 20a with the density value being lower that of the picture element 20A exists in the periphery of the picture element 20A by the influence of shading. A correction operating part comparation-operates the density value of the picture element 20A and the density value of the picture element group 20a at every picture element so as to obtain difference. As a result, the shading master picture where difference corresponding to the respective picture elements is assigned is generated and written in the shading master picture memory 8. When input picture data is added to shading master picture data at every picture element, correction picture data where not only the picture element 20A but also the density value of the picture element group 20a with the influence of shading are restored so as to be the original density value 70 is obtained. |
