A connection tube (22) for use in hot water has a first member (23) attached to a heater tank (22) and a second member (27) attached to an expansion tank (3). A removable tubular member (31) permits the passage of heated water from the heater tank (2) along a central-bore (10) to an outlet end (38) of the connection tube (22). The passage of water through the central bore (10) draws any water temporarily stored in the expansion tank (3) into the central bore (10) via the venturi hole (11). <IMAGE>
