<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a generation of a fall accident by installing a connection rail to a post offset unit of an expansion ladder and using a post as a guide rail and facilitate the passage of a safety apparatus, and fixedly installing the safety apparatus to the post in emergency. CONSTITUTION:A connection rail 14 is installed to a continuous connection part of one post of an expansion ladder 10 which comprises an upper post 11 and a lower post 12 and used as a guide rail. A safety apparatus 30, which provides two pairs of rotary rolls 33a and 33b, a hold-down roll and lever claws 35a and 35b or the like, is mounted to the post. Then, a safety rope (life line) of a worker is engaged with a lever 32 of the safety apparatus with a hook or the like. When the worker move up and down, the post is clamped with the lever clay 35a, thereby fixing the safety apparatus 30 with the post (the guide rail). This construction makes it possible to prevent the generation of a fall accident.</p> |
