PURPOSE:To alleviate the artifact caused by the deterioration characteristics of the radiation of a scintillator and to improve the resolution of an output image. CONSTITUTION:A scintillator length R is constituted so that the length is sufficiently longer than a maximum slice thickness L of X rays. Thereby, in the entire body of a scintillator 1, an exposing region 1a of the scintillator 1, which receives the projection of the X rays transmitted through a body under test, and a non-exposing region 1b of the scintillator 1, which does not receive the X rays, are present. The exposing region 1a is deteriorated as in the conventional detector, but the non-exposing region 1b is not deteriorated. As a result, the rate of the deterioration as the entire scintillator 1 becomes small.
