PURPOSE:To provide a cell volume measuring method for an anilox roll without the necessity of attaching particular devices other than a surface roughness measuring machine by obtaining measuring data for computing the cell volume by one measurement and shorten the time and save the labor required for measuring. CONSTITUTION:In an anilox roll in which recessed sections 5 of same shape are disposed in the given direction, scanning i.s performed by a contact finger type surface roughness measuring machine 4 across a plurality of recessed sections 5a to 5j in the direction of crossing the disposing direction of the recessed sections 5 of the anilox roll surface tension at a given interval to measure the sectional shapes of respective recessed sections 5a to 5j and integrate the sectional shapes. |
