Electrically heated storage container

An insulated, electrically heated storage container, for heating and holding thermoplastic material (esp. bitumen), has: (a) a bottom heater (10) at the container bottom; (b) an electric heating assembly (11) projecting, just above the container bottom, into the container interior; and (c) an elongate electric melt through heater (12) extending from the container bottom to the top. Also claimed is a method of operating the above storage container.
