Determining Buchholz hardness

The test object is placed on a test table and raised to a penetration body. The material surface under test is subjected to a preload of 0.01 N. The measurement of the penetration depth is automatically started after reaching a load of the order of the main load. The indication of the penetration displacement in microns is started simultaneously with the measurement of the penetration depth. After the predefined test period has expired, i.e. 30 s after Buchholz, the Buchholz value is displayed.
