PURPOSE:To attain efficient storage processing by discriminating whether or not an electronic mail is stored in a primary mail box before the electronic mail is stored in the primary mail box in the electronic mail equipment in which mails are received by a secondary mail box when the primary mail box is fully occupied. CONSTITUTION:A current consumed quantity of a storage area for a primary mail box is stored in a consumed quantity register 17 and a consumed quantity limit set smaller than the size of the storage area is stored in a consumed quantity limit register 18. Then the sum of the data quantity of an electronic mail to be transferred and a content in the consumed quantity register 17 is compared with the consumed quantity limit at a comparator circuit 19 and when the sum exceeds the consumed quantity limit, it is commanded to an electronic mail transfer sender that the electronic mail is transferred to a secondary mail box. |
