PURPOSE:To perform adequate processes by checking the adequacy of a given program by a terminal device itself. CONSTITUTION:The terminal device which performs on-line processes with a host computer 10 on the basis of the operation program and data in a storage means 111 consisting of a rewritable storage medium is equipped with a storage control means 112 which adds version information before and after the operation program and data received from the host computer 120 and stores them in the storage means 111, a matching means 113 which reads two pieces of version information out of the storage means 111 and collates them with each other before an on-line process is started, an on-line processing means 114 which starts the on-line process based upon the operation program and data in the storage means 111 according to a collation result showing that the pieces of version information match each other, and a display means 115 which displays a message showing a discrepancy according to a collation result showing the discrepancy. |
