Skin colouring compsn. (A) contains a hydroxycarbonyl cpd. having self-tanning properties and at least one hyperaemising or vasodilatory active agent, esp. one that raises the skin temp. locally, in a cosmetically compatible carrier. Pref. the self-tanning cpd. is dihydroxyacetone or methyl glyoxal. The active agent is a terpene deriv., nicotinic acid ester or caffeine.
