Destruction of biological infestations in building structures

In a process to destroy biological infestations in buildings, the novelty is that the infestations are destroyed by the temporary application of heat to wooden infested parts of the structure in the range 55 to 120 deg C. The heat is applied by electrically heated rods inserted into holes drilled in the structure, or in existing holes used by flying insects for ingress and egress. Heat may be applied to the building structure by heated flat plates placed on the structure or heated mats wound around the structure. The temperature applied to structures of brick or concrete are in the range 55 to 220 deg C.
