<p>PURPOSE:To achieve miniaturization and to prevent a sliding door from bouncing back and catching fingers by causing the sliding door to follow the reacting movement of a sensor member upon detection of the different level of the recess of a guide rail during movement of the sliding door, and decelerating a main sash roller while the sliding door abuts the main sash roller. CONSTITUTION:When a main sash roller 7 passes an area near a vertical frame, a roller 39 slides on the snapping member of a guide rail 3 and an adapter 20 is rotated clockwise against energizing force. As a result, a rotary damper 34 opens or closes a sliding door with a slight force while avoiding engagement with the gear 38 of the main sash roller 7. When the main sash roller 7 enters the area near the vertical frame, the roller 39 responds to the recessed wheel of the V-rail 26 of the guide rail 3 and the adapter 20 is rotated counterclockwise as it is energized by a spring 40. Then the gear 38 of the outer member 37 of the damper 34 is engaged with the gear 32 of the main sash roller 7 and the outer member 37 gradually suppresses the force of the gear 38 under the damper action of an inner member 36 to brake the gear 32. Therefore, when closed to some extent the sliding door can be gradually decelerated just before abutting the vertical frame.</p> |
