The desk tidy is made from a series of square base components (6) which can be joined together by interlocking tongued and grooved edges, and a number of different inserts (1-5) which can be fitted into the bases to fulfil a variety of functions. One insert (1) is designed to hold pens and pencils, another (2) is for small articles, a third takes a note pad, and a fourth is for postage stamps. Another base component, of smaller dimensions, is designed to hold a box of floppy discs (5).
