PURPOSE:To provide the device which is compact in size and capable of preventing the failure such as the deterioration of image quality and the toner fusing or the like from causing by the heat of a fixing part even in the case of continuously copying a lots of copies. CONSTITUTION:This device is constituted that the carrying path shutter 9 is freely movably fitted retrogressingly corresponding to the transfer paper carrying path 10 and the transfer paper feed-in path 10 is closed by advancing the carrying path shutter 9 to the transfer paper carrying path 10 at the off time and the standby time of the device, for shutting the air heated by the heat source of the fixing unit 7 out of the air of other image forming part, thus the air heated in the fixing unit 7 is prevented from flowing into the image forming part unit 19.
