PURPOSE:To provide a paste type electrode for an alkaline secondary battery containing a conductor, capable of preventing the formation of tricobalt tetroxide on the surface when it is stored in air, especially in wet air. CONSTITUTION:A paste type electrode of an alkaline secondary battery is made from a current collector in which paste containing an active material and a conductor is filled. The conductor is at least one kind of powder selected from cobalt monoxide and dicobalt trioxide, and a cobalt carbonate layer is formed on the surface of the conductor. |
