PURPOSE:To obtain a diazo thermal recording material excellent in the preservability (light fastness) of a color forming member by using a.compd. represented by a specific formula as a diazo compd. and a specific compd. having a specific number of carbon atoms as a coupling component. CONSTITUTION:In a diazo thermal recording material wherein a recording layer containing a diazo compd., a coupling component and an org. base is provided on a support, the diazo compd. is represented by formula I [R1 is-C (Z1)(Z2)-CH2-A-CH2-C(Z1)(Z2)-A or{C(Z1) (Z2)m-A, Z1 is an alkyl group or an aralkyl group, Z2 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, A is a substituent connected by an oxygen atom or a nitrogen atom and R2 and R3 are an alkyl group or an aralkyl group] and the coupling component is a compd. of the total number of carbon atoms is 20 or more represented by formula II. By this constitution, the diazo thermal recording material excellent in the preservability of a color forming part is obtained. |
