Improvements relating to bed bases that incorporate pneumatic bladders or elements 1, each one of which sits on a lower slat 6. Said bladders 1 are preferably formed of two bodies or cavities, an upper one 2 and a lower one 3, both communicating via tubes 4 that form part of the bladder 1 itself. Provision has also been made for an intermediate crossmember 5 that is arranged in a close- fitting manner between these two cavities, and the former together with the latter are coupled via their ends in lateral supports 8 that are inserted in the longitudinal members of the bed base. Naturally, each slat 6 is also inserted via its ends in said lateral supports 8. <IMAGE>
