The invention relates to a retaining device for fastening ski-binding parts on a ski by means of screws, having at least one retaining body in which at least one screw is assigned to an insert. Each insert consists of a layer of highly resistant material and at least one layer of elastic material which is arranged preferably above said first layer, each screw being screwed into the highly resistant layer and penetrating a bushing which, for its part, is supported [lacuna] the layer of highly resistant material and determines the spacing of the base plate from the layer. The aim of the invention is to mount such a retaining device on the ski. According to the invention, the (each) retaining body is arranged on the upper side of the ski and is fastened by means of separate retaining screws and exhibits at least one cavity which serves to receive the insert (66-68) and is bounded by at least one vertical wall (62f) and by a cover plate (62c).
