The device for removing the smoke in a microwave oven includes: a heater for heating food in the heating room; a selection key for selecting the sort of the food; an exhaust port for discharging the waste gas generated while heating the selected food to outside; a temperature sensor mounted close to the outer side of the exhausting port and thereby sensing the temperature of the waste gas discharged to outside; light sensors for sensing the amount of the smoke generated in heating the food; a power supply for supplying power to drive the light sensors; an amplifier for amplifying the output signal of the light sensors which sense the amount of the smoke; and a micro computer for receiving the amplified sensing signals and controlling the cooking time of the electronic range and On/Off operation of the heater.
