The pendulum level according to the invention comprises laser-radiation emission means (1) on a pendulum element (7) mounted so as to oscillate on a support structure (12) about a rotation centre which is fixed relative to the said structure, means being provided for making the axis of the emission means (1) coincide with an axis of the pendulum element (7) passing through its centre of gravity and through the said centre of rotation, so as to obtain automatic adjustment of the verticality of the said axes.
