The present invention relates to toilet bar compositions comprising (a) 20 to 75 % by weight of a nonionic aldobionamide surfactant; and (b) 15 to 65 % by weight polyalkylene glycol; said bar composition containing no more than 15 % by weight free fatty acid. The level of the polyalkylene glycol is such that it functions as a structurant and does not inhibit lather formation.
