In a lock for safety-belt systems in vehicles which are equipped with tautening devices engaging on the lock, an automatic opening is prevented by a two-armed lever (42) which is mounted pivotably on the load-bearing housing (10). During each actuation of the release button (32), the lever is pivoted out of its position of rest into a deflected position. At the end of a tautening movement, one (44) of the arms of the lever (42) projects into the path of movement of the release button (32), in order to prevent its further movement in the actuating direction. ……
