PURPOSE:To enhance the adhesion of a coating layer to a base polyester film by applying aqueous liquid for forming a specific functional coated film to one surface of a polyester film, and then subjecting it to drying and stretching processes. CONSTITUTION:At least one side of a polyester film is coated with a functional coating film forming aqueous liquid having a viscosity of 1-10<4> centipoise at 20 deg.C by a multilayer die. Subsequently, it is subjected to drying and stretching processes. The polyester film, may be a polyethyleneterephthalate film, polyethylene-2, 6-naphthalene dicarboxylate film. Also, aqueous solution, emulsion, dispersion or the like is used as aqueous liquid. The multilayer die has two layers and different aqueous solution is applied to form a multilayer by the two-layer die. In addition, the polyester film before application is preferable to be a vertical uniaxially stretched polyester film, and then it is stretched laterally after the application, followed by a heat-treatment. |
