PURPOSE:To improve development performance and impact absorbance of an air bag by providing at least one easily deformable part between a connection part of an inflater and an inflation port in a case for storing an air bag. CONSTITUTION:An air bag device installed in an assistant driver's seat side of the instrument panel 1 of a vehicle is provided with a lid 2 forming a face continuing to the surface of an instrument panel 1, a bag storage case 3, and an inflater case 4 and a cylindrical inflater 5 is contained in the inflater case 4. The bag storage bag 3 is formed from the lower side case part 3a of a trumpet shape and the upper side case 3b and bent parts 7a, 7b as easily deformable parts are formed between both cases 3a, 3b and the case part 3a and a skirt part 3c of the case 4. An annular reinforcing member 8 surrounding the outer circumferencial part of the upper side case part 3b is fitted around the upper- side case part 3b so as to improve rigidity of the upper case part 3b. |
