PURPOSE:To strengthen a flame spray film, suppress generation of peel-off and a crack, and improve durability and mechanical accuracy by sheathing a metal pipe on a FRP made main body cylinder, and providing a flame spray film made of metal or ceramic on the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:A main body cylinder 1 is constituted by a FRP formed of common knowledge forming methods such as filament winding method, sheet lapping method, and injection molding method, and a metal pipe 2 is mounted on the main body cylinder 1. In the mounting method, there are respective methods such as a press-in method, a shrinkage method, and a method in which the main body cylinder is covered with the metal pipe 2 having an outer diameter larger than that of the main body cylinder 1 and throttle work is carried out by a clad method and the like. After mounting, a surface is mechanically worked, the thickness, the outer diameter, surface roughness, and the like are regulated in the metal pipe 2, and metal or ceramic is flame-sprayed on the surface of the metal pipe 2 so as to form a flame-spray film 3. A header 6 having an axial part 5 is mounted on both end parts of a roll main body 4 by means of pressing-in and/or sticking so as to form a FRP roll. |
