Nitriding grey iron contg aluminium

摘要

Method of hardening by nitriding, grey inoculated iron contg. Al as graphitising element according to 710, 679 and 727, 521, in which the melt contains Si 0.85%, C 0.20-2.50, and 0.20-2.5% Al and the atmosphere contains 55-60% dissociated nitriding gases during the first nitriding phase and 75-80% in the second phase. The nitriding temperature can thus be reduced by 15-40 degrees C compound wit nitriding temperatures for steel.
