Pressure-tight seals are made at the ends of telephone cables with paper-insulated conductors. The cable and its sheath ends in an end closure which is filled with a more or less liquid hardenable sealing mass, pref., epoxy resin. The surface of the consistent mass, which reaches over the sheath, has pressure applied to it, pref. by compressed air. |
