PURPOSE:To obtain an electronic musical instrument which enables a quick editing process wherein a parameter affecting a pitch does not vary by distinguishing between the case wherein an edited parameter affects the pitch, etc., of a musical sound signal and the case wherein the parameter does not affect it, and generating an alarm in the case wherein the parameter affects the pitch, etc. CONSTITUTION:A playing operation element 21 and a setting operation element 23 are connected to a CPU 25, a ROM 27, and a RAM 29 through a bus 31, to which a display part 33 and a musical sound synthesis part 37 are connected. When the slider of this playing operation element 21 is operated, its parameter value and other information are displayed on a display unit and at the same time, the parameter can be corrected. Once the parameter is edited, a judging means judges whether or not the parameter affects musical sound characteristics from influence information on the parameter, and generates an alarm when the musical sound characteristics are affected. Thus, when the edited parameter affects the musical sound characteristics, the parameter is not saved as it is. |
