PURPOSE:To more ensure the discharge controllability, particularly, writing operation of a face discharge type AC plasma display panel. CONSTITUTION:Line electrodes formed of scanning electrodes 3 to which scanning pulse and keeping pulse are applied and keeping electrodes 5 to which the keeping pulse is applied are arranged in parallel to each other on a first insulating base 1. Data electrodes 7 to which data pulse is applied are arranged on a second insulating base 2 orthogonally to the line electrodes. The scanning electrodes 3 are arranged in the center parts of discharge cells forming picture elements, and the keeping electrodes are arranged on both sides thereof. |
