OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTING WIRE AND ITS MANUFACTURE, AND OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTING COIL

PURPOSE:To obtain a coil having a high operation frequency and a long size oxide superconducting wire by making plural tape wire rods buried in a matrix in a twisted form along the longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:An oxide superconducting wire is composed by burying plural lines of filaments 1 which consist of an oxide superconductor in a matrix 2 which consists of silver or the like. The filaments 1 are twisted in a spiral form along the longitudinal direction of the wire rod. The twisting pitch length is necessary to make at the tape width or longer. When a long size wire rod is manufactured, a twisting process is applied after the wire drawing process in a wire drawing and a rolling process, so as to reduce the AC loss of a coil when the coil is formed. Furthermore, an oxide superconducting wire with a high strength and an excellent deformation chareacteristics can be obtained.
