<p>PURPOSE:To diagnose malfunction from a pulsating current extracted from the terminal voltage of a motor which is in the energized state. CONSTITUTION:A pulsating current component contained in terminal voltage of a motor 4, a rotor of which is energized through a brush, the pulsating current component is amplified by an amplifier 13, and CPU 15 make a decision for malfunction by threshold discrimination. Thus, malfunction of the motor 4 is diagnosed when the motor is in the energized state. The motor 4 can be checked in its operating condition, whereby it is possible to find disconnection, connecting failure of a wire harness having a risk of disconnection, contact failure of a brush, or the like at its early stage.</p> |
