SUPERCONDUCTING PERMANENT CURRENT DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide a superconducting device using a permanent current in which the level of current being fed stably to a permanent current switch is increased. CONSTITUTION:A permanent current switch is placed in the magnetic field generated from a superconducting coil such that the critical current level is lowest at the joint 3 of a superconductor 2 for connection and a superconducting wire 1 for permanent current switch over the entire length of the superconductor 1. This constitution allows increase of current level being fed stably to a superconducting permanent current switch 5. In a superconducting device comprising a plurality of superconducting permanent current switches 5 connected in parallel, the number of required permanent current switches 5 can be decreased.
