A film-carrier rotating device of a printer for producing a photography (print) by illuminating a film with light comprises a film carrier for carrying the film, a carrier-support table for carrying the film carrier parallel to the film in order to be able to rotate the film carrier about a 90 DEG region, and a light-diffusing box for diffusing (scattering) the illuminating light in order to illuminate uniformly a film region to be printed. The film-rotating device is designed in such a manner that the film carrier rotates together with the light-diffusing box. As a result, the transport rollers of the film carrier and the light-diffusing box cannot obstruct each other, this making it possible for the light-diffusing box to be arranged very close to the film carrier and for the efficiency of the light source to be thereby increased. Likewise, the film carrier can be rotated together with the light-diffusing box, an operating mechanism being improved thereby.
