PURPOSE:To provide the subject apparatus capable of uniformly pressing the upper surface of a bean curd block in a mold container and capable of giving a constant pressure to the bean curd until the finish by disposing a long coil spring in an approximately U-shape. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus for molding bean curd comprises a mold container having an upward opened and bottomed box-like shape and having water- permeable holes (3) formed in the bottom surface (2), a holder (7) liftably supported above the mold container, a press member (11) attached to the holder and having an outline shape fitting to the cross-sectional inner shape of the mold container with an allowance, a coil spring (13) arranged in an approximately U-shape through a fixed pulley (14) and used for downward pulling the holder, a bottomed, box-like and water-receiving container (5) arranged so as to surround the bottom surface and side peripheral surfaces of the mold container, and a catching means (19) for suitably holding the holder. |
