PURPOSE:To set crack resistance performance of a filter to the maximum limit in relation to thermal stress generated by temperature gradient in a filter in a filter module used in a device for purifying exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:A filter regeneration device is provided with a rectangular grid shaped filter 6 for collecting particulate including in exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine, a filter storing pipe for storing the fiter 6, a micro wave generation means 7 for generating micro wave for dielectrically heating the particulate collected by the filter 6, and a micro wave feed hole 9 for feeding the micro wave generated by the micro wave generation means 7 in the filter storing pipe, and the micro wave feed hole 9 is arranged on an opposing position. An angle formed of opposing direction 32 to the micro wave feed hole 9 and grid rim direction 33 of the filter 6 is restricted to nearly 45 and degree.
