Steering wheel remote-control device (see Fig. 1) for disabled car drivers who only have one hand available for steering a motor vehicle, consisting of a transmitter (7) on the steering wheel (1) and a receiver for operating, for example, flashing lights, window wipers, operating lights etc., without removing the hand from the steering wheel (1), characterised in that the transmitter (7) is located within reach of a rotation knob (6) which is attached to the steering wheel (1), has two cross keys (5) and a single-chip microcomputer, and is connected electrically to the horn slip ring or horn winding spring which is present in series-produced motor vehicles, as a result of which the exchange of data with the receiver and the supply of power to the transmitter (7) is made possible. An additional rotation sensor (8) in the centre of the steering wheel (1) is electrically coupled to the transmitter (7), as a result of which it is made possible for the flashing light to be switch off automatically after the steering process is terminated. A quick-release closure (4) is characterised in that the transmitter can be removed from the steering wheel without using tools, as a result of which it continues to be possible to control the motor vehicle in the same way as a commercially available one. <IMAGE>
