Device for the medium-tight connection of a pipe, with a socket part, of which at least one end serves for the insertion of the pipe and, at its end, exhibits a flange with a conical abutment surface for a sealing ring with an essentially circular cross-sectional surface area, and is provided with a peripheral reinforcement integrated into its elastomeric material, the socket part being assigned an oppositely arranged bracing part in the form of a flange, and the reinforcement of the sealing ring, which can be compressed around a pipe pushed into the socket part, comprising pipe parts which are assembled in the form of a ring and can be telescopically pushed together to a restricted extent.
