Method and arrangement for the regeneration of UART characters

The subject matter of the invention is a method for the regeneration of UART characters in data frames which are sampled at pre-defined time intervals in receivers following the identification of a start bit signal. The time between the sampling of a stop bit signal of the one UART characters and the time between the identification of the edge of the start bit signal of the temporally following UART characters is in each case measured and compared with a pre-defined time for undistorted character regeneration. The sampling of the start bit signal of the temporally following UART character is modified according to the deviation between the measured time and the pre-defined time, whereby the data frames processed in this way are further transmitted without distortion of the time response. <IMAGE>
