PURPOSE:To provide a screen width correcting circuit which keeps the screen width constant even though horizontal (vertical) synchronization signal frequency of a display varies. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal (vertical) synchronization signal HS (VS) with a varying frequency is inputted to a horizontal (vertical) delfection circuit 2 (12) through a horizontal(vertical) synchronization originating circuit 1 (11). The above operation varies a portion of the amplitude of a horizontal (vertical) deflection current HD (VD). A horizontal (vertical) synchronization signal F/V converter 5 (15) converts the horizontal (vertical) synchronization signal frequency to a voltage, inputs the voltage to the circuit 2 (12) through a horizontal (vertical) amplifier 6 (16) and a horizontal (vertical) width adjustment volume control 3 (13), compensates for the variation and keeps the amplitude of the horizontal (vertical) deflection current HD (VD) constant. |
