The invention relates to a method and a device for determining the fresh steam mass flow in the fresh steam line of a steam-operated power station. To avoid a lossy throttling point in the fresh steam line for a direct measurement of the fresh steam mass flow, an indirect determination is proposed. In this arrangement, a turbine part is used as a measuring device, steam pressures before and after the turbine part and the fresh steam temperature being acquired by means of measurement and the fresh steam mass flow being calculated on the basis of the measured values thus obtained. <IMAGE>
