PURPOSE:To obtain a therapeutic agent for cerebral nerve disorders, containing a hepatocyte growth factor as the active component and capable of promoting survival of cerebral nerve cells and regenerating and repairing the injured brain. CONSTITUTION:HGF (Hepatocyte-Growth Factor) is contained as the active component. This medicine is useful for therapy and prevention of Alzheimer's disease in which atrophy or degenerative deciduation of neurocyte is observed, Alzheimer type senile dementia, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, nerve regeneration diseases such as Parkinson disease, cerebral apoplexy, cerebral embolism, cerebral trauma, etc. As the dosage form, liquid, solid formulation, capsule, etc., can be used and the dosage is 0.01 to 100mg/day on HGF base.
