PURPOSE:To provide a recording head drive unit conducive to system downsizing and cost reduction by simplifying the construction of the recording head and reducing the number of signal wires thereof. CONSTITUTION:When data on component Y (24 bits) are transferred serially to a shift register 1 (with a capacity of 64 bits), a latch device 2 latches and outputs its contents to a logic circuit 3. By operating only an FET 5 and applying a drive pulse, component Y is recorded by resisters rC1 to rC24. Concerning components M and C, when data on each component are transferred. FET 6 and FET 7 are driven to record them. As for data on component Bk, when 64-bit data are transferred, FET 8 is driven to record its image. |
