PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording medium which allows a stable reading of recorded data by a bar code reader with the help of a semi-conductor laser having an oscillation wavelength near a specific nm. CONSTITUTION:This thermal recording medium with a recording layer containing a colorless or a pale basic dye and a coloring agent provided on a support, contains 3-(N-ethyl-N-p-tolyl)amino-6-methyl-7-p-toluidinofluoran as the basic dye and bis(3-allyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) sulfone and/or 4-hydroxy-4'- isopropoxydiphenylsulfone as the coloring agent. |
