The Plaster-of-Paris mixture is designed for the manufacture of porous Plaster-of-Paris products for civil engineering and it improves both the heat and the sound insulation. The process of self-foaming is formed by gas separation at chemical reaction in the water-Plaster-of-Paris suspension between the calcium carbonate, accompanying ingredient in the Plaster-of-Paris and silicofluoride of an alkaline metal, homogenized in advance in the dry Plaster-of-Paris mixture.
