[Also in Division C4] Textile materials of acrylonitrile polymers or copolymers, or polyamides or polyesters which are modified by acid groups are dyed, padded or printed with a styryl dye of formula I in which 2 represents the atoms necessary to form an optionally substituted ring, y is a straight or branched optionally substituted alkylene radical, R 1 and R 2 are each hydrogen or an optionally substituted hydrocarbon radical, or form a heterocyclic ring with the N atom, V 1 is hydrogen or in conjunction with R 1 or R 2 forms a heterocycle, A- is an anion, the ring D may be substituted by non-watersolubilising groups, the dyes being free of sulphonic acid groups.
