<p>A polymeric film has a substrate layer (1) with a heat-sealable layer (2) on at least one surface (3) thereof. The substrate layer contains a blend of 20 to 60 mole % of a first polyester comprising ethylene terephthalate as the main repeating unit and 40 to 80 mole % of a second polyester comprising butylene terephthalate as the main repeating unit. The heat-sealable layer contains a third polyester which has a melting point less than that of the first and second polyesters. The polymeric film is suitable for laminating to metal sheet (4) for can production.</p> |
