A container (1) for dumping vehicles (2) is proposed, which is provided with a safeguard (14) within the range of the lateral pivoting movement of chains or chain sections (6) of the dumping device (5). This safeguard is formed by a preformed shaped element of noise-reducing plastic which, at the same time, provides a protection from mechanical damage to the side walls of the container (1). The shaped elements are fixed by bonding, riveting, screwing or by magnets. <IMAGE>
