The arrangement comprises a pen-like input device (EG) having a light source and at least one camera (KA) arranged adjacently to the user interface and serving to receive the light generated by the input device. The two-dimensional position of the input device which is actuated by the user is ascertained by the camera. With the aid of an acceleration sensor arranged in the input device, a movement axially to the user interface is detected, for the purpose of inputting depth information, and transmitted to the system via the light beam.
