<p>The invention relates to a method for processing waste plastics by hydrogenation to form liquid hydrocarbons. The production of the hydrogen is integrated in the overall plant and is carried out according to an iron-steam process. The method has the advantage that no primary energy has to be used. The only feedstocks are the waste plastics and water.</p>
